Skywatch, it's good to be back!

Here's something you don't see every day!

The small helicopter landed in a swamp, and started sinking. In order not to lose it, the large one was called in for an emergency recovery, to pull it out before it disappeared under the raft of papyrus reeds! To see more Skywatch photos, go to the site and follow the links, you'll see wonderful photos and meet a great bunch of people from around the world!

I have been out of blogland for a while, but am looking forward to visiting around tomorrow, now that life is getting back to normal.

Ahh, great shot. Correct your URL on skywatch, otherwise, some skywatchers won't be lucky to see such amazing shot. See you

An intriguing shot - o course one wonders what it was doing in the swamp in the first place.

Thanks Imac, will follow up....
Ackworth, the same question occurred to me, but it happened in a war zone recently, and one can't ask too many questions! By the way, I saw the pictures of the actual link up before they took off, with people to give a sense of scale, and that little helicopter is not so little! The rescue one is HUGE! In this photo they both look like toys!

What a great cumulus cloud. Love the dragonflies!
After reading your piece on taxis, I wonder what other traumas you have had to deal with.

Must have been an interesting rescue to watch. Altho I haven't been a consistent blogger or commentator myself, I have enjoyed my visits to your blog. May 2009 bring you and your loved ones good health and great happiness and joy!
