a house becomes a home.....

We were invited to Croick cottage for a housewarming braai (barbeque) yesterday. Those of you who have been following the renovations to this lovely old house will probably be glad to see that the empty shell has now been transformed into a happy home......

The patio is all set up, with braai, Ethan's slide, and seating. It is quite sheltered, even though there were gale force winds yesterday, it was lovely out there.
The family tucks in to a hearty meal!
Grandpa and Ethan watch a motoring programme together, the little guy is already totally mad about cars in all forms.
While J enjoys the cricket (SA won by 10 wickets!)
This is the alcove at the end of the lounge, now with seating and cushions on each side, great for lolling around!
another view of the lounge.
Ethan's artwork already adds to the ambience of the entrance hall!
The Property owners will be visiting in a few weeks, and we are all so excited about seeing them, and also seeing their reaction to the changes to their house!
looking out my front door, week 7, which starts off cold windy and rainy.
Actually, to be more accurate, this is my view today, I have a chest infection, nothing too serious, but have been sent off to bed, so it may be a day or 2 before you hear from me again. I look forward to tucking into a few good books, with a nice cup of coffee and the kitties all around.

I can't get over how quickly this house has come together! It seems no time ago that you were starting. I'm sure it doesn't feel that way to you!

It is a warm and cozy abode now. No doubt about it. The patio looks really nice too. Glad the BBQ went well, and hope you soon feel 100%.

I do hope you're feeling better now. Nothing like a good book and kitties to make one feel better!
The house is so warm and inviting. I love the artwork by Ethan in the entrance! What a joyful welcome for visitors!

(Be sure to check the previous post for my comment.)
