I wish I could have sent the scent!

One of the highlights of spring, for me, is that my garden has a number of highly scented plants which flower at this time.
The star jasmine is sweet and rich,

the lavendar is fresh and spicy
and the alyssum smells of honey,
and they all combine so that, especially at night, the front of the house is wrapped in such heady fragrance that it is a treat to sit out on the patio in the dark and just soak it in.

I have star jasmine in the back yard and I love the scent of it. I can only imagine how fantastic it is mixed with lavender and "honey"....Ok, now I'm hungry!!

I love way alyssum smells. It's so lovely for such an insignificant little flower.
I can imagine sitting there with you chatting, enjoying a glass of wine perhaps, and inhaling the wonderful fragrances of the flowers.

hey Sheila, anytime, the patio is here and you are welcome to visit...seriously, book that ticket! I don't drink wine, but I can introduce you to some great South African ones, while I keep you company and sip my
red grape juice ...I am told it is the sulphides in the red wine that cause allergies, they are not present in normal grape juice.
